Drawing is an exchange with my surroundings- with my environment in its totality. It is a daily practice of the observation and response to nature. My language comes from it. My decisions come through it. My process grew out of it. My task as an artist became thus: listen, respond, repeat..... repeat.... repeat. If one is alert and receptive to this process, the connective patterns in the character of our intelligence, the cells in our bodies and all things may become apparent in the weight of a line, the suggestion of gravity and the insistence of entropy.
